Using the Provider Access API

The following information provides the necessary steps to use a Sandbox Provider Access Client. This method does not require any vetting process and is open to anyone.

Sign Up

  1. Go to the 1up Dev Portal login page.

  2. Select Register for the 1up Sandbox.

  3. Fill out the required fields, and select Register. You will receive a link sent to the email address entered.

  4. Verify your email address by clicking the link you received.

  5. Once verified refresh the page you used to sign up, and you should be logged to the Dev Portal

    1. Alternatively, go back to the login page and Sign In there using your email and password.

Creating a Sandbox Client

  1. On the lefthand sidebar, you will see that you are using the Sandbox Clients page.

    1. If you wish to request Production Access see Requesting Production Access.

  2. Select Create a client.

  3. Select Provider Access as your access type: “Attributed members claims data (CMS Provider Access)”

    1. The 1up Dev Portal is where users can create Clients to make requests to various protected 1up APIs.

  4. Enter a name for your client. This will likely be the name of the application that you have built or plan to build.

  5. This should take you back to the Sandbox Clients page, where you can see your first Provider Access Client.

  6. You will see a Client ID next to your clients name, as well as an option to copy the client.
